I never use my platform to bash a business, but I swear to God, I will never rent a car from Thrifty again. They charged me $1000 on my debit card as a hold for any damage on the vehicle and then needed my Social Security number to run a credit check.

It would be kind of funny if by screwing up Obamacare, Republicans actually made it possible for Democrats to pass Medicare for all.
At this point, we really only have two choices:
Medicare for all
or
Unrestrained, unregulated for-profit health insurance that no one but the wealthy can afford.

Here’s the thing about people my age: I thought I was going to finally start to be able to save up for retirement. Almost all my kids are grown. But that’s not how it’s working out. We still have to support our kids who did everything right (college, apprenticeships) because nothing is affordable.

I just received 5 of my cardiac meds from Mark Cuban Cost Plus Pharmacy. The cost with shipping and without insurance was $43.00. With insurance at a “preferred“ pharmacy would have been 3X that. Doesn’t seem pointless to me.
