Tremors at Silverwood Theme Park getting big upgrades for 2025 season.
- TWO train operations, moving from one singular PTC train to TWO GCI Millennium Flyer trains. Trains will run on urethane/nylon wheels, switching between three different possible wheel compounds to run in most seasons...

The more I look forward to Universal Fan Fest Nights in Hollywood the more I think about their Star Trek Red Alert attraction and how I can't help but wonder if this is a way of testing the waters to see how viable of a long term attraction that IP can be for Universal Destinations & Experiences.

I have to wonder just how far along the Kingda Ka replacement actually is, if there's pen to paper on a contract, and if anything has been manufactured for it yet. If a contract hasn't been signed, im willing to bet that Ka replacement isn't happening thanks to the tariffs.

I just came to a realization. Phoenix Rising and Penguin Trek are about what I would expect Jinma's takes on B&M coasters to ride like.

This is just brutal. I can only begin to imagine what's going through the minds of those affected. I can only hope many of these employees can rebound elsewhere in the Central Florida area.
I'm going to assume more of these layoffs will be taking place at other Merlin properties in the days ahead.

Legoland Florida Resort is laying off 234 employees. In a notice filed with the Florida Department of Commerce, Legoland said the layoffs will take place between March 25 and April 7.
Most of the jobs affected by the cuts are in entertainment.

It's stuff like this that makes me real happy to start distancing myself from Twitter. This asshole is an embarrassment to the coaster enthusiast hobby.

I've complained about this on the other apps but never on Bluesky. Why is it that Central Florida has no mongolian bbq places??? Sure, there's BDs down in Lakeland, but they aren't as great as far as options are concerned. Plus, they once had spaghetti noodles instead of udon. Pass.

Today we had to make the difficult decision to put down our cat Calypso. She was an older cat, 15 or 16 and had developed some health issues over the last year, though none of those really presented any red flags, just a matter of old age.

Hats off to @sixflags.bsky.social and Six Flags Over Georgia for course correcting with Georgia Surfer by renaming and retheming it to Georgia Goldrusher. It's a bit of a stretch, but panning for gold as a theme is much better than the surf theme plopped right inbetween Metropolis and Dahlonega.
