I think I’m going to add an egg and use an egg wash the next time I try making damper. It defeats what I’m trying to learn, but I still want to see how it improves the outcome.

Purchased a larger bag of self rising flour, and plan to take another crack at damper bread tonight. This time I’ll be sure to remember to knead the dough longer, and soften the butter a little so it spreads out equally.
