1/3 I had a tune in my head, something from the eighties and quite poppy. I couldn't identify it but I couldn't get rid of it. It was so clear and complete and I could identify all the parts as if I was at a mixing desk. It was still there when I woke this morning...

Very happy to have now closed my accretion of amazon accounts and worked out how to borrow books from my local library - which is in london while i'm in berlin - and read them on my new kobo e-reader. a device made in canada! #libraries #books

Dipping my toe into the broiling chaos of US politics. I can't see any of the less wacko Republicans resisting what's happening if they see the alternative as handing back power to the Democrats. Is there the slightest chance of back-channel discussions of a coalition government? #doge #trump

this was big for me in 1977. i was unignorably sad when tom verlaine died recently. i watch 'match of the day 2' while i cook, the commentators are so surprised when someone scores. a track played behind an arsenal highlights package. didn't know if i should be happy about it or not #5albums70s2

was just listening to a politics/money podcast. they kept talking about 'growth' and i kept thinking about the cancer of capitalism. then they called it 'prosperity' and i thought about the birds in the trees and happy people being lovely to each other. #powerofwords

1: ok. a question for literary agents. because it feels like the entirety of humankind is seeking representation i started to wonder how that splits by genre. we unpublished writers may not feel we're competing against each other, but there is/are a finite number of births on this metaphorical ship.
