Felimare tricolor
The rear end of a Felimare tricolor nudibranch. The body is blue with a yellow mantle edge. There are white spots aligned lengthwise on either side of central line in yellow which starts behind the gills, contouring them and ending between the rhinophores. Central in the picture are the naked lungs (fills) from which the nudibranch naming comes. The gills are blue with yellow lines. Felimare tricolor

I am just going to say that I think my diving gear is way cooler than yours. Prove me wrong. (Pro tip, you will not manage to do that)
A Scubapro regulator setup with the two second stage pieces prominent in the picture. The closest is a converted Pilot with pink mouthpiece. In the background is the Adjustable SP109 with a white translucent mouthpiece. Both show signs of the classic green corrosion of brass from excessive use in salt water. I bought the 109 in 1974 and the Pilot in 1979 and together, they have dived around the world and spent an estimated 13,000 hours under water, reliably supplying me with air. I still use them to this day

The scene is from a late afternoon dive with large rocks covered by algae and different organisms. At the center are two nudibranchs from different species. The lower one (F. babai) has a translucent white body with orange tipped cerata and rhinophores. The upper one (C. papillata) has a translucent white body with small branched papillae which are orange, like its rhinophores. I missed yesterday's post for #Nudivember #MarineLife so will just do two today. This will be the post for day 8.

Little guy. genus Felimare, species unknown
A very small nudibranch from the genus Felimare but due to its probable age and stage of developement, species unknown. It has a blue body with a single white strip lengthwise on its back and appears to have a slight yellow coloring on its skirt. It is photographed next to a lineal which shows this nudibranch to be approximately 3mm in length. There is a reddish colored background made up of an unknown grown, probably algae.

This morning, I drove 1.5 hours to an animal shelter in Alcabideche, collected two dogs and delivered them to the shelter I volunteer for in Sesimbra. I was back later this afternoon and one of them, a young puppy, was being adopted. This is why I volunteer with an animal shelter. #Adopt,Don'tShop
