Last year I asked my coworkers when we should start checking satellite images of the camps for new incinerators.

I was only half joking.
Imagine what’s happening in the camps.
Imagine how much they’d be lying about what happened without all the videos showing it from multiple angles.

Yeah, the evidence is anecdotal, but there are videos demonstrating that at least some P320s can fire without the trigger being fully pulled. Probably tolerance stacking in impacting the sear interface.
jfc. any search for Sig Sauer P320 is about it accidentally discharging and lawsuits around it.
"I think the thread was removed, but another poster floated the theory that the gun actually discharged when the agent was holding it, and Sig Sauer has had some recent issues on that front."

ICE and CBP are the moral and legal equivalent of a Superfund site. Raze these organizations to the ground, tear out the foundations, and start anew from greenfield status.
🚨HOLY CRAP. An ICE whistleblower just revealed a secret memo authorizing ICE officers to break into homes without a judicial warrant, which DHS's own legal training materials say is unconstitutional!

ICE then hid the memo from the public, passing it along by word of mouth and private conversation.

A thought (building on what others have said) RE: the Iceland mix-up and 'not using force.'

Maybe someone (from DoD?) told him in no uncertain terms that Greenland is a miserable place covered in ice and he is not allowed to use force to take it.

He might not even realize that Iceland exists.

I don't like that we've gotten to the "Evergreen Intel thread about the US threat to Greenland" stage of things.
Thread. Greenland.

1/12 Some notes:

Oreshnik is the first conventionally-armed missile operated by the RVSN (Strategic Rocket Forces), and the first conventionally-armed missile developed by the Moscow Institute of Thermal Technology (MITT).
CNN on Oreshnik 🚀‼️

Interesting. The only UK solid rocket motor plant that I'm aware of is Roxel (near Birmingham), and I'm not sure what their max motor size is.

Though I guess the motor needed to push a 200kg payload to 500km might isn't really that large.
January 11, 2026 at 10:32 PM
I tend to view Oreshnik's creation as driven primarily by industry rather than military requirements (i.e. the Moscow Institute of Thermal Technology wanted some of that sweet, sweet special military operation money, and managed to convince someone that Oreshnik was a worthwhile investment), but...
Theres a lot of talk about Oreshnik being a "psychological weapon." This is, I think, an oversimplification - its true that Oreshnik has some operational limitations. I would argue that those limitations are not all that different than other conventional ballistic missiles.

Seeing potentially credible reports and videos of a new Oreshnik launch against Ukraine tonight.

What the fuck are we doing. On multiple fronts, but especially in Venezuela. I'm gonna pet the cat and go to sleep.

Then tomorrow I'm gonna show kids how to run model trains at the railway museum, because what else am I supposed to do.

Keep going and remember who is perpetrating these crimes.

Not what I wanted to do today, but here we are. Coming out of Yasniy, this could be an SS-18, SS-19, or (very unlikely) a Sarmat.

The 13th Missile Division is historically associated with SS-18s, but at least some of their silos currently hold SS-19 Mod 4 missiles with Avangard HGVs.
Detailed video of the failed launch of a Russian missile, likely a UR-100N, from the Yasny launch site near Orenburg.

Major earthquake near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and the Vilyuchinsk nuclear submarine base. There have been several earthquakes nearby over the past 24 hours.

There was an 8.8-magnitude earthquake in this area in late July 2025.

I will be in Europe at the time, but otherwise I would be there!

Honestly good advice, though I consider the drink optional.
Remember Decker's golden rule: when crisis starts, instead of immediately posting stream of consciousness, stand up, pour yourself a strong drink, and do something else. The takes can wait an hour or two.

Rocket plumbing is hard. All three of the Block 2 Starships have experienced catastrophic plumbing or engine failures.

That said, there are reasons most companies don't run rapid-fire tests after a failure.

Possible debris from today's strikes. Looks like an Israeli air-launched ballistic missile, either a Sparrow or a ROCKS.

Looks like Israel has struck Iran. It's going to be a long evening.

The Food and Drug Administration is drawing up plans that would end most of its routine food safety inspections work, multiple federal health officials tell CBS News, and effectively outsource this oversight to state and local authorities.

Trump: "An old fashioned term we use, groceries. I used it on the campaign. It's such an old-fashioned term but a beautiful term, groceries. It sort of says a bag with different things in it. Groceries went through the roof, and I campaigned on that. I talked about the word groceries for a lot..."
