Our Brazilian tapirs, Chico and Meena, have been enjoying some extra winter pampering!
During colder months, keepers regularly apply barrier ointment and hoof putty to the tapirs' feet, which protects their feet and hooves from the hard and icy ground.
Meena especially loves the foot massages!

We’ve got some sad news, as Tania, our last Patagonian sea lion has passed away.
In recent years, Tania, aged 29, had been receiving regular vet care for age-related conditions & yesterday we made the kind decision to put her to sleep.
She'll be much missed.
