Trump was angry because Epstein “stole them [children]” from him, if I remember correctly.
This is a lie. Trump and Epstein's falling out had *nothing* to do with Epstein being a "creep." That was, after all, why they were friends in the first place. It was over a real estate deal. Epstein outbid Trump on a Florida property Donald had told Epstein he wanted. Acrimony ensued.

The Epstein story gets a something that is tearing at the heart of the electorate: elite impunity. The idea that wealthy and powerful people can do terrible things *at scale* and face no consequences for them. Whatever political party actually stops it could rule the country for a generation.
