KAROLINE LEAVITT: The president stands strongly behind Secretary Pete Hegseth, who is doing a phenomenal job leading the Pentagon. This is what happens when the entire Pentagon is working against you and against the monumental change you are trying to implement. Secretary Pete Hegseth was nominated for this position and he is standing up for the war-fighters, the men and women in uniform who are putting their lives on the line to protect our country and homeland. Unfortunately, there have been people at that building who don't like the change the secretary is trying to bring and they are leaking and lying to the mainstream media. We have seen this game played before. He is doing a tremendous job and the president stands before him. ... They are lying about the secretary of defense, no classified information was shared in the chats. You have leakers leaking classified information, which is a crime. The administration and the president have taken a strong stance against anyone who leaks, especially sensitive or classified information that can put our troops and are war-fighters at risk and he will rein in the leakers at the Pentagon and continue to do so, I'm sure.
