Some positive news from the latest Adult Psychiatric Morbidity Survey:

Proportion of 16 to 24 years olds with problem drinking in UK more than halved between 2000 and 2023/2024 (40.7% to 18.1%) and fell for 25-34 and 35-44 age groups as well.

Our new research published today has shown that those from poorer neighborhoods have higher rates of #PTSD and more severe symptoms, but do not benefit from psychological therapies as much as those from richer areas.

Great that the #NHS 10 Year Plan has suggested that neighborhood community centers offer #debt advice amongst other services! There is such a vicious cycle between #Money problems and #MentalHealth the more we can tackle both together the better!

Don’t believe recent media and government messages that it’s really easy to get disability benefits in the UK: I have bipolar disorder type 1 (relapse recently), I’m autistic and I have severe bladder and prostate pain 24/7. I spend hundreds a month on medications and aids not covered by the NHS
