My faith in editors is cracking - a while back I spotted an error in Brian McClellan's "Sins of Empire" in which he'd written 'phase(d)' for 'faze(d)' and it hadn't been corrected, and now (1/2)

Students may have seen me use this #book by @cepmurphy.bsky.social as an example of why it's important to fill out feedback surveys: if you don't do it, all the decisions will be made on the basis of readers who give a three-star Amazon review to a wonderfully clever parody they don't understand.
