It's hard not to notice how the UK "financial papers" POUNCE on temporary reductions in the pound, but then act utterly oblivious to the clear, long-term trends. It's almost like there's an obvious agenda at play.

Many of us "cannot live with it". It can and will cause irreparable harm and/or kill us.

‘Learn to live with it’ is another appalling phrase that was so ableist. So many vulnerable people have died because they couldn’t live with it. I have pointed out to folks I’m clinically vulnerable and they happily say this back to me. It’s offensive.

5/ I show that the use of request practices in informal settings 🏡 isn’t determined by sociodemographic characteristics of individuals 👥 such as age or gender, nor by the structural distance ↔️ or power dynamics ⚖️ associated with those characteristics

Long COVID impairs cognition. It is currently experienced by around 10% of the population. This includes people in occupations where failures of judgement, decision making, reaction times etc can be lethal. This is clearly going to lead to knock on injuries and deaths.

Turkey has a serious smoking problem that's going to lead to serious health outcomes in the not too distant future. I've not seen so many young people smoking for a long time!
