My first (of 15) senior project defenses was today with a student who studied the biopsychosocial model of periodontal disease. It was a fantastic project - one thing I learned about was the 8020 project in Japan, where people are encouraged to try to keep 20 teeth into their 80s.

It's very odd to be around people who made faces and literally scoffed when we said things like "he's going to take social security." And they're still more mad at leftists than at people who actually voted for this.

Had this (what felt like) hours-long dream where I was traveling and met this lovely woman named Tammy. We had a lovely time, had so many laughs, and then had a touching goodbye. And then my alarm went off almost immediately. Now I'm sort of settling back in to reality.
