Regardless of the disgraceful nonsense we will likely hear from this administration in the coming days on vaccine “recommendations,” Americas healthcare insurers issued a joint statement tonight saying coverage for Covid and flu shots will remain unchanged from prior years.

Speaks for itself.

I refuse to drop safety protocols to potentially saddle my kids with a parent who’s incapable of living life to the fullest. I refuse to steal my children’s childhood by dropping safety, too.

Survived with the capacity to understand and laugh
I’ve been told that someday
I’ll look back and laugh
at how long
I took precautions for,
but that sounds fine
really, that sounds just fine,
I will be happy if someday
I can look back and laugh
for that will mean
I managed to survive
long enough
to reach that someday.

Survivor of the pandemic=getting to the point where long-term effects are well understood, preventable and curable without suffering those long-term effects first!
It is not so much the case
that I consider myself to be
Covid conscious or
Covid educated or
a Covid realist or
Covid aware or
Covid informed
so much as that I hope one day
to be able to consider myself
a survivor of the Covid pandemic
and I know
that day has not yet come.
