Liverpool diehard, Mum, wife, ex-flying Granny, bad cyclist, worse tennis player, occasional doctor. Here mainly for Blake’s 7, the Archers and LFC
The BBC’s Chris Mason doing his best to whip up anti-Starmer rhetoric whilst continuing to give Farage a free pass

I don’t remember taking this photo but it was ten years ago today. Beautiful combo of cloud effects at sunrise with my beloved helimed in the foreground

A (kind, intelligent) man told me he thought that, as one of the victims had boasted about sleeping with Prince Andrew, she was complicit.
Why do we have to explain over & over again how grooming, abusing, gaslighting, violent threats (& worse) of children works?
So sick of vile rich men #Epstein

Watched tonight’s match with my son (33) and grandsons (12 & 7).
Swore more than they needed to hear for 30 minutes then lots of cheering all round

Say what you like about kids and modern technology but we have several (some of which belong to us) running about the field at the back of ours using mobiles as torches and shrieking with terrified delight. Expecting one to fall in the pond any moment

Honestly all for equality in footie but can the female presenters not be décolleté & blonde curls while the blokes wear grey cardies, did you not get the Skechers deal hon?
Chez nous we prefer Kirsty McColl swerving past that RedStar Belgrade defender in her Arsenal kit

Tonight’s brilliant, edge of the seat Champions League night was everything the World Cup is not going to be. Wish we could just invite the African / Asian / South American etc top clubs to join in as well and stuff the jingoistic stuff & FIFA (please ditch the bloody CL anthem earworm tho)

Does Chris Mason ever have a day off?

Correction, could Chris Mason have a day off please?

I find Slot’s approach so frustrating. All those gifted players and he seems to be all about technical instructions instead of just inspiring the the talent to do their stuff

The BBCs Chris Mason literally using bar-room gossip instead of actual news for this evening’s episode of Labour-bashing

In all the noise about the Beckhams I can’t believe no-one has posted the Bo Selecta sketch where David wants to go to Disneyland and see The Big Mouse

@adrianramsay.bsky.social - would welcome your support on this
If your MP is on BlueSky, do feel free to tag them.

Remaining on X, a platform which that allows for the mass manufacturing of non-consensual sexual images of women and minors, is no longer endorsement.

The government needs to leave it.

Now.
Staying on X is an Endorsement - and It's Unforgivable
The UK government cannot claim to protect women and children while continuing to post on a platform that enables their abuse.

What a bloody magnificent set of penalties from Wrexham, and a cracking bit of goalkeeping

New Year's Eve, and 125 years old today is 'The Darkling Thrush' by Thomas Hardy.

(And when I myself read this poem, I often find myself becoming aware of that blessèd Hope from that frail and gaunt thrush ✨️)
