After a dry, balmy week across much of Texas, drought conditions worsened in southern and eastern portions of the state. Streamflow levels are lower than usual for parts of central and south Texas during this time of year.

Above-average precipitation alleviated some drought in #Maine this week. However, over 80% of the state remains in severe drought (D3) or worse. This is the greatest amount of D3 in Maine since winter 2001-2. The #drought continues to affect agriculture and exacerbate wildfire risk in the state.

#Drought worsened on parts of Maui and the Big Island of #Hawaii this week. Reduced water levels in water treatment facilities, as well as low stream levels, prompted local officials to announce water shortage alerts on the island. They continue to urge water conservation.
