Several newspapers have recently run stories about how #microplastics might not be as bad as they are often painted in the media - but why? I break down some of the issues at www.youtube.com/watch?app=de...

I was very pleased to be interviewed on the ABC to discuss the fact that some samples of coloured sand used for children appear to contain a form of asbestos. Yes, it’s worrying, no, you don’t need to panic.

Should I be freaking out about microplastics?
Microplastics are turning up everywhere, but some scientists say how harmful they are to our bodies is still uncertain. Here's why.

Fun reading esp when you're at the "WTF is dark metabolome" stage. The term is just too cool.
I was very pleased to be interviewed by The Analytical Scientist magazine about the Dark Metabolome. A term I think I was the first to define formally

Very pleased to be included in the Stanford/Elsevier top 2% Scientists list again this year (both career and single-year data). The list identifies highly influential scientists based on a range of metrics (topscinet.com). It is not a perfect ranking, but I’ll take it.

Do you know what’s in your vitamin pill?
The claims vary from promises of longevity and improved vitality to treating everything from menopausal symptoms and sleep issues. But do you know what you’re swallowing?
