reading some more of Danielle Ofri’s excellent book ‘What doctors feel’
Really admire her honesty talking about the fear drs live with. Appreciated this section when she talks about the challenges of missing diagnoses in patients with multiple symptoms.
And that ultimately we will make mistakes.

Gita is a poet, writer & doctor born to Indian immigrant parents in London.

She teaches creative writing to science undergraduates at Imperial College & has an MA in Creative Writing and an MSc in Medical Humanities.

I’m currently reading this incredible book after hearing her on Rangan Chatterjee’s podcast.

I loved her other book The Choice.

A lot to take from this personally but also think this would be beneficial to many of our patients.

I’ve realised it’s one year ago today that I started my first job as a consultant. And what a year it has been!
Think it might be a good opportunity to reflect on what I have learnt so far! (And I don’t just mean the complexities of lung cancer treatment!)
