Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. today with a truth from his "Life's Blueprint" speech: "A deep belief in your own dignity... Do not allow anybody to make you feel that you are nobody." This self-worth is vital for a purposeful life. Let’s reflect and act with service and kindness.

#URochesterResearch finds the potential of pain relief with CBD

“We need to understand more about this compound... whether it is a potentially safer solution for treating the chronic pain epidemic."

Can CBD Really Help With Pain?
Could CBD Be Used for Pain Relief? New Research Finds It May Be Possible It is widely understood that CBD does not cause a ‘high’. However, what CBD does in the human body and brain is not well understood. Researchers in the Del Monte Institute for Neuroscience developed CBD-IN and found that when given to mice, it provided pain relief within 30 minutes, and with none of the common adverse side effects, like loss of movement, balance, or memory, that often occur when taking conventional pain drugs. “The pain relief also lasted through repeated use,” said the paper's first author and staff scientist Jingyu Feng, PhD. “We did not see its effect wear off over time.” Full Paper: https://www.cell.com/cell-chemical-biology/fulltext/S2451-9456(25)00342-3 Full Press Release: https://urmcnewsroom.iprsoftware.com/publications/neuroscience/research-hints-at-the-potential-of-pain-relief-with-cbd #Research #CBD #pain #URochesterResearch #chronicpain #cannabis 🧠Stay Connected Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/@URNeuroscience X: https://x.com/URNeuroscience BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/urneuroscience.bsky.social LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/urneuroscience/ 🧠Experts: Kuan Hong Wang: https://www.urmc.rochester.edu/people/112361873-kuan-hong-wang?clinical=false 🧠Lab: Wang Lab: https://www.urmc.rochester.edu/labs/wang 🧠
