What makes a good research supervisor? Many students start by looking for disciplinary expertise, and rightly so. A research supervisor should be able to guide your project forward, help clarify conceptual misunderstandings, and support the intellectual development of your research. #AcademicSky

Peak gaslighting I experienced today: someone complaining to me that they're “not allowed to have an opinion”, then shutting me down because I disagreed with their opinion. Funny how “I’m not allowed to have an opinion” often means “No one’s allowed to challenge mine".
