I pay for four apps on my phone and this one is definitely worth it. It helps me remember to remember, gets me out of binds when I make a mistake, and keeps me from impulsively buying plants that can’t survive in the lighting of my home or office. I love having plants around and I can do it

Communicating and having conversations that are tricky is a skill just as regulating motivation as a skill. This approach comes from the five secrets of empathy, and is a great approach for talking through motivation with your child’s teacher or others who are working with your kid.

After years of working with lots of families and lots of teachers, I found out this one communication mistake can lead to a lot of misunderstandings. As a parent, you can absolutely direct the teachers attention by using specific language and framing that can have drastically different outcomes.
