Thanks to a court ruling today, extending Temporary Protected Status, Haitians in Springfield, Ohio, and elsewhere are (for now) safe from the planned ethnics cleansing operation. The ruling is notable.
BREAKING: Judge Ana Reyes, in DC, issues a stay of DHS Sec. Noem’s decision to end Haiti’s temporary protected status (TPS) designation, a decision that was to go into effect on Tuesday and could have ended legal status for up to 350,000 people overnight. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

Indiana hospitals “are expected to reach annual losses exceeding $1 billion within the next three to five years” as a result of Medicaid cuts and other issues.

Rural hospitals will be in serious jeopardy just as The Regime leaves office, exactly as planned.

Kristi Noem keeps defending ICE — even as agents brutalize people and use deadly force.
That’s not leadership. It’s enabling abuse.
I signed to demand her firing. Add your name. Call your senators today to refuse funding ICE and CBP in the minibus

ICE murdered Renée Good in broad daylight. Less than 3 weeks later, they killed Alex Pretti, shooting him 10 times. Every day, we watch as people are ripped from their cars, their homes, their lives.

We can't allow ourselves to look away from this cruelty. Abolish ICE.

As someone who is literally waiting for one button to be pressed to give me $2.1m of NSF funds six months late: I’d rather shut my lab down than have another person killed by ICE - in the street or in custody, citizen or non-citizen
As a someone with a 33 year NIH-funded lab whose grant is supposed to be reviewed this week, shut NIH down if that is what's needed to end ICE terrorism. Innocent lives are more important 🧪
The Senate may choose to vote together on the DHS and LHHS bills. Thus, a filibuster on DHS may mean no funding for NIH. What my colleagues are saying:

“Shut it down, public health will understand. I’ll work without pay again.”

Voting NO on the DHS funding bill is the bare minimum.

Backing Kristi Noem’s impeachment is the bare minimum.

Holding law-breaking ICE agents legally accountable is the bare minimum.

ICE is beyond reform. Abolish it.
