koala is so good! I spent ~2 years learning koala + AUM on ipad, which helped get me used to routing sounds to separate tracks and doing fx & stuff there. But also, ICYDK you can use koala inside Ableton!

One thing: This is the first time I made a Real Effort to bounce to audio instead of manually futzing with MIDI (tho I still futzed a lot). It's not _that_ different, but being able to insert a split into an arrangement view and mess with fading / automation at specific points is...so fucking cool

I'd been doing everything on an iPad previously so I had a really hard time going from "loops" to "a song" but once I started to wrap my head around "figure it out in session view, record it to arrangement view, then edit that" it just...kind of fell into place.

omgosh you may not be able to get me to shut up now. This was mostly stock Ableton instruments (electric bass, acoustic string, wave table) + a (SW) drum machine I've absolutely fallen in love with (Tahti) + my synth (Microfreak).
