I’m happy for LGBTQ families today who get to breathe a little easier knowing that at least in this moment, the legality of your family isn’t in question. It never should be.

I had a medical examiner case to work and I deserve a decent coffee for the drive home, but there’s no such thing at this time of night in a small town. 😒 Rude.

The teller in the drive thru window at my bank has on scrubs, a stethoscope around her neck, and syringes in her pocket. It took me longer than it should have to realize this was probably a Halloween costume. 🤦🏻♀️

Patient with OSA. Hasn’t been using CPAP. Knows they need to use CPAP. Wants to try a different mask style. DME company says Medicare won’t let them give him a mask or supplies until they get a note from me saying he’s using and benefitting from CPAP. 🤦🏻♀️ I can’t with this today.

I am convinced that there is some law of parenthood that says that if you begin to get caught up on laundry, multiple members of the household must be stricken with a GI bug.

I’ve watched copious amounts of TV in the last 48 hours as I am recovering from the worst gastroenteritis I’ve had in years and my most profound observation is this: its really sad that drug commercials have to tell you not to take things you’re allergic to.

People I don’t understand - physicians who come to conferences and are just sitting. And listening. And nothing else. How are you not behind on anything?!?

If you tell a patient to eliminate processed food, artificial sweeteners and flavors, cheese and milk all at once. There is approximately 0% chance that it will actually happen.
*Evidence to support this statement? Trust me, bro.

Spending time with colleagues braless in my jammies because the conference hotel fire alarm has been going off for the last 20 minutes… 0/10. Do not recommend.

Never ever trust Meta AI. I just saw it suggest asking how someone enjoyed Christmas… under a post where someone had shared that individual’s obituary.

There may be truth to this. I’m probably done having kids. A part of me will still want more, but they’re expensive, my student loan payments are about to skyrocket, and should I get pregnant and have complications, my doctors might get to gather and debate whether I’m close enough to death save.
Dr Oz: "Turns out that about 1/3 families don't have the number of babies they desire. They're under-babied. So this president committed to address that during the campaign and he's delivering on that today."

I just want to point out a couple of things. 1) the messaging from these Young Republican groups is neither all that surprising nor in any way acceptable. 2) those of you who have been living in northern, more urban locales judging the South for our racism should note that these folks weren’t ours.

Compliments from a three year old: “I love you more than poop. And more than butts too. That’s important to me.”
It’s the highest compliment one can receive from a child in this developmental stage.

When I was in high school and went to Spain they took us to a place that housed the remains of what was thought to be Christopher Columbus’s son. That, my friends, is some serious nepo baby 💩. Happy Indigenous Peoples Day.

Threatening to jail the governor of a state for failing to protect the people he sent to protect the state against the wishes of that state’s leadership. If they need Pritzker’s protection, doesn’t that suggest he’s capable of protecting his own state?
I will not back down.
Trump is now calling for the arrest of elected representatives checking his power.
What else is left on the path to full-blown authoritarianism?

Broad pharmacogenomic testing sounds like a really good idea but adds little to clinical care. Convince me I’m wrong.
