The funny thing about Dazzler is, by all means she should be a street-level hero. She's made it clear she doesn't even WANT to be a hero, shit just keeps happening around her that demands her intervention, and while her powers have a lot of potential, she mainly uses them for literal light shows.

It's cute. Not a fan, though, of when they fill a character's first solo issue to the brim with guest appearances. That being said the shenanigans at the X-Mansion were the highlight of the issue.

The problem with DoFP is that it places the ownness on the mutants, the systemically oppressed people, for being oppressed. Police your own, or everyone suffers. Robert Kelly gets every benefit of the doubt, he's just a good man trying his best! He's just scared!

So what's funny about this tagline is that since Kitty joined, the X-Men held a funeral for one longtime member and before she was even fitted for a costume another one was apparently murdered right in front of her (Nightcrawler in Annual #4).
Some might see it as an omen.

So, fun fact, and what this may be in reference to, Claremont original conceived of Nightcrawler's father being the Doctor Strange villain Nightmare.
When he wasn't allowed to use the character, he then came up with the Mystique/Destiny parentage that's canon today.
