That is the difference between a functioning democracy versus the illusion of democracy that Americans have.
Same in Canada. An elected leader would be ejected from the party in days. It only takes one party member with a heart and integrity to step forward and denounce that comment and demand an apology. Then others will step forward as well. Just takes one.
