Is anyone in #AcademicBlueSky attending OCALICON next month? I'm presenting there again. Good online conference for low-incidence ideas. #EduSky #PhDLife

Fairy Tail Fur Ball benefit for the Madison County Humane Society. Every animal deserves a happy ending.

My project for the Madison County Humane Society fundraising auction. My first woodworking items for sale. Can't wait to see how they do. And the sale benefits the animals.

I didn't realize I was holding office hours tonight while working from my patio. Plenty of hummingbirds buzzing around as I grade papers. #nature #AcademicBluesky #PhDLife

Mark your calendars. New exhibition coming up soon. Her reflections on fighting the big C. And, yes, that is her work at the top. A four-panel abstract painting. #Imarriedanartist #cancersucks

Guess who is going to Long Beach in January? Yeah, that's me. Presenting at the DADD conference again. It will be nice to be in CA in the winter. Anyone else going? #EduSky #AcademicBlueSky #PhDLife #DADD2026

Grading is done. The summer semester is over. Grade submission tomorrow and then a bit of rest. I can't wait to work on my garage and setting up my workshop. #EduSky #AcademicBlueSky #PhDLife #Woodworking #HomeWorkshop #NeededRest

Why am I not surprised? This is a travesty. There is no legitimate reason to pay people with disabilities less than minimum wage. This is nothing but greed.

So, I did a thing recently. I agreed to take on a more administrative role in my department. Starting this fall, I will be Associate Department Chair and Director of ABA Programs in the largest department on campus. Am I crazy? Is it the heat? #EduSky #AcademicBlueSky #WhatHaveIDone #MovinOnUp

This is getting ridiculous. The number of teacher ed programs that are affected across the state is incredible. Given the teacher shortage, I just can't believe there was no consultation with students or thought given to the actual effects.

Indiana public colleges cut or merge a fifth of degree programs, more could come
Six Indiana public colleges have submitted a fifth of the state's degree programs for cutting or merging ahead of a new law instituting size quotas.

Huge fan of Brian Cox. And I love the sentiment here. We should always be curious and skeptical. Science evolves and grows as new information comes to light. That doesn't make what came before wrong. Just outdated. Never stop learning. #EduSky #Education

I was excited to see this in my Inbox from AERA earlier today.
A coalition of organizations representing educators and researchers (including the @aapthq.bsky.social) has filed a legal challenge to the recent mass termination of grants by the National Science Foundation (NSF). 🎢 🧪 🍎 👩‍🔬 #AcademicSky

Apparently, it is now the law that academics teaching behavior analysis need to be licensed. So, now I can add an additional 3 letters after my name. LBA. Just another thing I have to freakin' pay for every few years. 😒

Such a great #PaTTANMathConf this week. Heard from some great math folks. Always learning. My students will only benefit from their knowledge. @paulriccomini.bsky.social @rastokke.bsky.social @mrzachg.bsky.social Jenny Root, Elizabeth Hughes, Brian Poncy all rocked it out. #EduSky #mathed
