In Minnesota police set up a sting operation to catch child sex traffickers.

They caught 16 men. No immigrants. No trans people. All US Citizen Men.

One was an ICE fascist who said, "I'm ICE boys" when arrested, perhaps expecting to get special attention. He was arrested anyway.

So much winning.

Mike Johnson says he's talked to Thune & he's "very confident that when this moves forward in the process - if & when it is processed in the Senate, which is no certainty - they will take the time methodically to do what we have not been allowed to do in the House. To amend this discharge petition."

The new lines, which were designed to help the GOP gain up to five House seats in next year's midterm elections, triggered a nationwide redistricting battle.

WHAT. IS. HAPPENING???
BASH: We have seen these attacks from the president at other people. It's not new. And I haven't heard you speak out about it until it was directed at you.

MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE: I think that's fair criticism. And I would like to say, humbly, I'm sorry for taking part in the toxic politics.

Grotesque. The more I see of this man, the less I like him.
This is a straightforward Republican attack line, what the fuck is he doing

Exactly. Part of being a responsible citizen is criticizing members of your party when you think they’re wrong.

UPDATE — Here are the at least 10 congressional Democrats, 5 Democratic-aligned organizations, and 6 Democratic Senate candidates calling for Chuck Schumer to resign as leader:

I just wish more people realised politicians we like aren't avatars of inherent goodness.

They're representatives we hope we can trust on their promises and believe can be pressured if they don't.

Criticising them from the left is *good*.

My political hot take is that US voters should be able to recall elected representatives via petition - at any time.
No more hiding behind election terms.

I repeat, if YOU are not active and vigilant in Democratic primaries,
YOU are why our primaries produce weak corporate and AIPAC controlled Dems.

Period.

Progressives need to become Dem primary BULLDOZERS!

NO ONE should be able to get through a primary while being some corrupt milquetoast who

Listen, think what you want about Hakeem Jeffries. I know I’ve had my fair share of disagreements.

But even after Schumer caved and betrayed all of us, Hakeem is whipping votes on the House floor to try and block this shitty deal and protect Americans’ healthcare. That’s worth a lot.

There will be another 60 vote Friday* on the garbage shutdown deal. If we can convince just one Senator from the 52 republicans and 8 Dems that voted yes to flip, we could still stop this. Please jump on the phone today, call them, and share this widely.

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

I also ran for Congress, twice. I can confirm that “how much money can you raise” is the most important question the Dems want to know, not “what do you stand for” or “what are your policies”.

This goes for Dem adjacent groups like Emily’s List too.
If you are one of the people who doesn’t bother to vote in Dem primaries,

consider checking yourself.

We get these soulless corporate Dems because the primary voting base favors this kind of corporate centrist Dem.

I ran for office three times. The first thing the party asks a candidate is

I’ve said this b4, but here’s a little inside baseball from a former Republican: Back in my GOP days, we Republicans would privately laugh at how Democrats would never go to the mat to win. We always knew Democrats wouldn’t fight to the death politically.

Last night proved Republicans right again.

Super ironic since Talarico is one of the Dems who caved during the Texas redistricting walkout a couple of years ago after getting reassurances from Republicans that they’d work with him.
This isn’t very hard, folks.
