I meant to do No Spend January, but it's been more like No, Spend (indiscriminately!)

In this house we call it little women's tiny Christmas and it's customary for Becca to climb into my breast pocket and chill while I put the decorations away

So was Kate Bush training for a marathon or what was the craic there

I now know 3 other people doing the exact psychotherapy degree Becca just finished. It's not like it's a big course with 300 people in every year, or every college is doing them like. How is this country so small, that feels statistically unlikely

God I just remembered at David O'Doherty's show last night, when I realised were getting My Beefs 2026 I turned to Becca with a huge smile and involuntarily fist pumped the air, a pig in shit so I was

Just saw the DO'D and it was genuinely one of the funniest shows I've ever been to. Went with my soon to be wife who isn't the biggest live comedy fan, and at one point she was wiping tears from her eyes
I was really wondering why I hadn't been to see David O'Doherty in a while, and then I remembered that the last time I saw him was the day after a break up, and I went with that person! Wouldn't recommend it but we already had tickets. Anyway, going to see him in January, reclaiming the DO'D

Etsy's end of year review is hilariously shit, wish every site would stop trying to do their own wrapped

I follow this woodworker who has obviously been traumatised by a decade of comments correcting his mistakes because he tries to re-empt every piece of criticism that could come. I get the impulse but I'm going to try hard to not do it anymore. It's not my fault if people are uncharitable

I haven't gotten a label printer because I thrive off the triumph/ shame of hand writing an address perfectly centred on the envelope/ hopelessly lopsided

Yesterday we got a 2 drawer air fryer reduced to €66 in a sale, already shaping up to be an incredible year

Missed the countdown because I was kissing my cat's head and then stood on Becca's foot after realising and running into the sitting room

Forcing out a piss at 23.56, I'm not going into the new year with old piss in me

We're watching Class Action Park and I'm waiting to hear that Gene Mulvihil was pulled apart by horses

More like the Huge Lame Gallery!

If the Hugh Lane Gallery ever posts some bullshit I've got them dead to rights

It's unfortunate that 'slop' is such a good phrase to reach for when you want to be self deprecating about your own work, but we have to be resolute and save it for losers

Ah the post Christmas where the fuck will everything go

Someone left me a very mean comment on YouTube today but I was spending time with loved ones so it was hours before I saw it. Not something a normal and happy brain does really is it

All my soap knowledge comes from watching it with my nana when I was 9 so there are characters who were introduced for the first time back then, and have been in them ever since, and when I see them on screen now I'm like "Ah, the new guy!"

My ma's informed me that Emerdale and Corrie both have storylines where someone is tied up and being kept hostage right now
Are the soaps still doing whodunnit murders? That's one of my strongest memories of Christmas as a kid, tuning in to Eastenders to find out which of 6 characters killed someone

they don’t tell you when you buy a christmas tree at the christmas tree farm that you could take it home, decorate it, and then be relaxing in your living room seven nights later when A BAT suddenly flies out and starts CRASHING AROUND YOUR HOUSE
