Are you a midwife who has significant experience of using interpreters to discuss mental health with women?

How do you do that effectively? 🤔. Would you be willing to share those experiences and help help shape future good practice recommendations? 🤔

In March I planted 🌻 with my students to remind them that as midwife leaders they will need to stand tall for women & themselves, keep a growth mindset, put down strong roots.

It was meant to motivate them. Now they’re sending reg updates, and my 💖 is full. It is me that is inspired by them 🥹✨

I’ve been quiet on here - but I’m back!

Working hard and also playing hard too. 2025 for me is about seeking out joy and adventure wherever I can. Just back from 42.5 miles hiking in the remote hills and valleys of Northumberland. My soul is topped up with sparkle ✨ and gratitude 💓.

Let’s all celebrate Dr Bruce! 💫 Can’t wait to see how you develop this work.
Eight years, lots of coffee, and a solid dose of stubbornness…and my thesis is finally in print! It may not be hefty enough to prop up a computer screen, but it does look very pretty on my book shelf. #INFiLL

Despite its prevalence and devastating human and economic consequences, mental health still does not receive anywhere near the same level of attention or investment as physical health during and after pregnancy.

Perinatal mental illness can affect anyone during pregnancy and/or after birth. Knowing the signs is the first step to getting support for you or a loved one.

Please share our post this #ParentMentalHealthDay to raise awareness. Together, we can make sure no parent is left struggling in silence.
