Passed the IBEW aptitude test! In January I will interview. How exciting! Maybe this will be a dramatic career pivot for me.

I took the aptitude test at my local sheet metal union. It was pretty different from the IBEW one; less math focused, more reasoning. I'm confident I did well, but I am still unsure what trade I want to go into.

You can probably guess from my fursuit work that I'm the kind of person who is always looking for new methods and ideas. I was able to flex that skill a lot at my day job, but in the past year all my best ideas are put into someone else's hands.

By pure coincidence I was halfway to a Barbie movie cosplay with my powerlifting look. For a fun Sunday project I made a matching visor. I'm hoping I can thrift a high vis shirt to make elbow and knee sleeves out of. Not doing roller skates though!

I got 215# back squat, 125# bench press and 250# deadlift at my very first #powerlifting meet today! It was SO MUCH FUN!!!!

I was working at Amazon during the first Prime Day. They told us under no circumstances can we call out sick that day. Unfortunately I got salmonella poisoning from raw chicken the day before and spent Prime Day crying and shitting at home.
