Decades ago I looked up assault & battery. Reason was due to someone being charged with battery but not assault. Couldn’t understand how they could actually split that up. I mean, as far as my teenage mind could follow, the 2 were hand in hand. But I learned something when I found it. 1/

Had my weekly monologue with my mom. Asked her about her insurance, she’s on a UH Medicare Advantage plan. Had been told by our Medicare person (we’re on reg Medicare w/MoO gap) that one of the 2 plans in her area was going away. She’ll call sometime soon to find out if she has to do anything. 1/

Hubby & I headed to the KofC Oktoberfest earlier today. Passed by the National Guard Armory, big sign announcing a wrestling tournament. Hubby wondered why, didn’t make sense to him. So I told him about the WWE match coming up at the WH. He scoffed. 1/

Went to the VEC (Volunteer Energy Cooperative) shareholders meeting held in Crossville TN this morning. They supply electrical power to over 100,000 customers. TN state rep mentioned he was discussing various issues & got around to electric costs.

When my son told me about Kirk’s untimely demise, I told him it would be a 20 something incel who finally figured things out. Only thing I was wrong about was him figuring things out. Apparently his radicalization was started with TP USA & continued with the Groyper group.

Next time I see my doctor, will have to ask about the childhood vaccines. Not because I’m anti-vax, my kids are vaccinated & I want all kids (that can be) vaccinated. Hubby wants to go to FL next summer. Pretty sure I’ll need boosters for all of them. Got MMR booster in ‘91 for grad school at 34
