Started doing some hobby photography again. iPhone 17 Pro is awesome.
I realized I miss sharing photos online, but X is not good and I hate IG.

So looking for a nice place to do it without being on a lame/dead platform.

Thinking maybe start a Substack (story + photos)?

Do you think it's a terrible idea to have many niches for content on YouTube on the same channel, or is it okay to experiment and keep things fresh?

You need a PhD in color grading just to export your video in DaVinci Resolve so it looks the same as during editing. 🤦‍♂️

The most confusing "men's restroom" sign I've ever seen.

In case you didn't get it, it's a urinal on the left.

Just learned that Apple has Lightroom competitor www.pixelmator.com/photomator/ and it's good!

- Similar flow to Apple Photos but powerful.
- ML features are pretty decent.
- Optimized for Mac/iOS.
- One-time purchase price (!)
- LUTs instead of presets (as a video person it's awesome)

The most powerful photo editor ever designed for Mac, iPhone, and iPad.

Programming has a surprising amount of waiting:
- Deploy
- Various scripts/migrations/data imports running
- AI generating response
- CD/CI/Tests
- Compilation for some languages

What do you all do in the meanwhile?

Journaling is the best reflecting tool because it gives you perspective.

It's so easy to be disappointed in day-to-day progress, but if you've been journaling long enough, you can read your entries from 1-2-3 years ago and immediately see the forest behind the trees.

Working from home is nice, but I am trying to change environment and work somewhere in the city at least once a week.
Those days are usually most productive.

Working from the library with an autumn view today.

Experimenting with the new @YouTube feature that I finally got on my channel.

Published a video with dubbing for the first time.

I'll never understand this.
Digital distribution should bring cost down, not up.

Does the profession of YouTube auditor exist?

I'd love to pay a growth expert for a one-time consultation to review my channel/analytics.

Kind of like how SEO audits work now.

Perfect strategy for reducing your churn from @yandex.

I enabled their food delivery subscription while I was in Minsk. Now I am back to the EU, I can't open any page because it's "not available in my country".

Result: I can't really cancel the subscription!

My first money for the YouTube sponsor integration!

My first experience with adding a sponsored segment. I had offers before, but I never liked the product or the negotiation went nowhere.

Great experience overall!
Thanks @snowballtracker for being my first sponsor.

YouTube polls are super helpful when I can't decide what to prioritize next.

I have a love/hate relationship with video editing.

Sometimes I hit the flow and can't stop. Some days I just can't bring myself to even start, and it feels so dragging.

I need a way to control it!

I'm just gonna to say this. Coca Cola's 2025 AI-generated ad still looks like sh*t.

The top youtube comment summed it up well: "This feels like a Facebook mom post."
Not something you'd expect from a multi-billion-dollar corporation. Or maybe it is.

I finally got A/B/C testing for titles (in addition to thumbnails).

Probably the most useful update in the last few years.

I've never added the product to your platform, but thanks?..

Another video - done. Will be live today 🚀

Turned out quite a personal story about my decision of quitting my job and how I have been doing since then. Also, I am doing an ad integration for the first time.

Best Mac quick action ever. When you download a lot of photos from the Photos app (.HEIC), it saves so much time.

Cool idea but I wish the games were more complex and for adults. I would love to play Gloomhaven on it 😅
