Dear X is a #kdrama that is rated for mature audiences, for nudity, violence and distressing scenes. Yet on MDL minors aged 13 - 17 are the 4th largest group watching and rating this drama. Full disclosure - I have not watched this drama as I'm too stressed for explicit abuse and violence.

Kdrama challenge - bicycle ride. Often used as a romantic trope this is different, showing a cherished memory of when a parent teaches thier kid how to ride. The Atypical Family hit harder as the dad was making up for years of neglect due to trauma. I have fond memories of my own dad teaching me.

I got to see the Grateful Dead when they played at University of Washington in May of 1974. There was a recording of a 40+ minute song from that concert. I was blessed to see Donna Jean perform that day. RIP to a wonderful singer
Donna Jean Godchaux-MacKay, who spent the Seventies singing with the Grateful Dead, sang back-up on several classic Sixties hits, and fronted her own bands, has died at age 78.

In #kdramas a villain often physically and psychologically abuse their top assistants if they fail to complete an illegal or immoral task. I often wonder why they don’t in turn betray their abuser. This is a case of multiple slaps but in other cases a golf club is favored to use for beatings

Rather sad article about the people in South Korea who clean up after the large number of old people who lived and died alone. Also the large number of suicides. Very much reminded me of the excellent #kdrama Move To Heaven
