I have to deal with a lot of difficult scenarios and upset people at work. I love my job, but it definitely requires remaining posed and cool, which I am usually good at.
But today someone answered the phone with my first name like we were bffs and I had no idea how to react 🤣

I was going to go swimming and then go home and make some chicken wings and do some extremely necessary weeding while they were cooking. But the pool was closed and Fry’s doesn’t have Old Bay, so now I’m completely derailed.

Vet gave me a topical opioid to put on Gouda because I have some experience with animals. I gloved up, put it between her shoulder blades, did not get any on myself, and removed the gloves appropriately … but then I read about it and that was a bad idea cause I’m a little freaked out now.

After long runs I tend to feel really cold, even if it’s not cold. Like my body has exerted so much pressure energy during the workout I no longer have enough energy to maintain a normal body temperature 😆
I also tend not to be hungry and have to kind of force myself to eat, so that’s fun too

Gouda is home! Surgery went well. People usually say something along the lines of “she’s resting comfortably” but in reality she is high and pissed off and hiding behind the toilet, which is a favorite spot of all cats while in that bathroom.

Gouda is not amused at her return trip to the vet. She was also surprisingly difficult to get in the carrier this morning for a cat who can’t use one of her legs. But she has been dropped off for surgery.

The thing about TNRing and caring for all these feral cats is that sometimes one of them goes missing … we haven’t seen one of the younger ones in 2 days and she is normally around and comes for treats. We thought we were making progress domesticating her. Now she’s MIA😕
