In this recent study by my colleague Nemanja Kuzmanovic @jki-research.bsky.social we revealed the extraordinary genome plasticity of Rhizobiaceae members - a family comprising both nonpathogenic and pathogenic strains: www.microbiologyresearch.org/content/jour...
Novel insights into the genome organization of Rhizobiaceae: identification of linear plasmids
Members of the family Rhizobiaceae typically have multipartite genomes that are split between two or more replicons, including the chromosome and a variable number of extrachromosomal replicons (chrom...

Glad to join for the first time the Plant Microbiome Symposium #PMS2025. Looking forward to a week full of interesting talks and inspiring discussions. I will present a poster on Thursday about synergistic effects between resident microbes and inoculants for improved maize performance under drought.

Congratulations to our Phd student Kristin Hauschild to her first-author-paper no.3 🥳 Here we tested whether different soil amendment strategies (catch crops, microbial inoculants) can improve apple plant performance in replant disease-affected soil.

What a pleasure presenting the final results of a two years inoculation field experiment at IOBC-WPRS Biocontrol meeting in Turin today - sampling&analysis was a lot of work, but with many great people and the results paid off. The study will soon be published (proof loading). Stay tuned 😉
