RE: ffvii remake trilogy: it’s extremely cool and bold to expand on the original game so much, lots of great stuff here, glad they went this route. next time tho, SE, if you’re gonna remake one of these again, just uhhhhh…just do the same game again with updated graphics and cleaned up translation

RE: veilguard…i don’t mind that rook is a narrowly authored character in a series known for expanded player agency to self-express and role play who you want the protagonist to be (think geralt for a good example). what i do mind is that, no matter what option you pick, he sucks.

kinda seems like the new dragon age kept the live service quality of writing (limited function of motivating progression to endgame rather than engaging its audience) while ditching the live service quality of gameplay (frequent content updates, fun cosmetics, compelling gear progression)

in the lead up to the new dragon age, i wanna say something brave: anthem was great. gunplay felt novel and sick, traversal was fun, abilities synergized in a cool way. everything wrong with it (gear system, weird story presentation) could have - and should have - been fixed.
