Constantly looking for ways to step down our carbon footprints. Local activist in Santa Clara County, California.
On Sunday a record 227ish people left their rides in my corral for the 49er game. I counted the bikes just before half time. Thank you Eleni for this picture of it. Thanks to all the people that made it work out!

Today's adventure in Quaxing was taking my bike trailer down to the SMART station on Carl Road and hauling back about 30 lbs. (A big garbage bag full.) of compost. Then I spread it around to my plants. Now I'm praying that stuff is good for them.

Since I'm hearing stuff like "constitutional crisis" about the current politics, I decided to push my constitution a bit and get a lot of the NO KINGS! thing that went through Mountain View.

Been seeing a lot of approval for the silence of the generals. They have created some space for good ideas to bubble up. Lets out-sense the two party system. "Stop voting for oil companies at the gas pump!" We need to create a better reality then they can give us.

Just made banana bread for the first time in years. The occasion was someone on TrashNothing.org was giving away bunches of very ripe bananas. Couldn't resist using some up. Even have enough left for an Elvis style PB sandwich for lunch!

Wanted to participate in the Luna Park Chalk Art Festival. Somebody asked me to incorporate the first amendment in my piece, so this is what I came up with.

"BIKE PARTY is proof that First Amendment Freedom of Assembly is valuable."

I've just eaten homegrown tomatoes with Renegade food vegan salami and rebel cheese for supper. Feeling like a fully accessorized revolutionary at the moment.

KQED Forum just spent an hour talking about climate change. They talked endlessly about how the current administration is cutting funding and erasing information. They managed to not mention that we need to cut fossil fuel consumption to keep the problem from getting worse.

Passing cyclists on rural roads while driving can be tricky. I've been both the driver and the cyclist countless times. On a recent trip to San Juan Island, I was passenger in a car as we came up on a group of riders on a narrow road.

I'm never going to hear this song the same way again.
If you don't already, watch Colbert. He is a man with no more f*cks left to give. And it's glorious.

Check out this song parody from last night's show: Mike Johnson Delays House Epstein Vote Until September

Went to FIGHT BACK! in Palo Alto. That tiny little speaker in the sunglasses is Judge LaDoris Cordell. There were many speakers. We chanted "This what democracy looks like!" If democracy includes sharing the moment and voting, we were there! A highlight was Senator Josh Becker.

I was getting knee problems again. What could it be? I finally narrowed it down to my bike. Took it into Bicycle Express with an advanced case of front wheel arthritis. Half an hour later they sent me on my way with a new front wheel. Feeling like my bike is ten years younger!

This spice company decided "We can't normalize this!" So their pepper blend is Outrage. When my food is too dull I sprinkle Outrage on it. First time in my life I can say that.
