This Thanksgiving I'm grateful for so many people and things. Among them: The best travel buddy, the boy who can find adventure anywhere and the boy whose soundtrack is the "womp!" of a basketball no matter where he goes. May you and your turkeys have the best holiday.🦃🤎🧡

They left home young women and returned from serving in Vietnam heroes with stories to tell.

To any Missourian, remember this is not about you, your voice, or what you care about, whether you’re in Kansas City, Kingsville, or Carthage.

If they’ll ignore you on this, they’ll ignore you when you need a hospital, jobs in your community, or schoolteachers in your town.

Ernie Martel needs help keeping food on the shelves of his Little Food Pantry. Here's his story and how you can help! (The link to his fundraiser is at the bottom of the @kmbc9.bsky.social post.) Let's show Ernie the power of the internet!

Ernie Martel honors his late wife, June, every day by keeping the shelves of the food pantry he created in her honor stocked. These days, that's getting harder.

24 years ago today I walked into 1029 Central into the basement of the Lyric Theatre on my first day as a reporter for @kmbc9.bsky.social . It's been the most incredible & rewarding ride for which I'm forever grateful. Thanks for having me, having patience with me, trusting me & growing with me.❤️

It's so hard to fathom what happened Wednesday in Lexington, MO. In December of 2023 this family lost its mother. Then this week, their five year-old was killed and their ten year-old and father critically injured when their home exploded. They will need help for some time. Here's a start:

It's time for @royals.com baseball in Kansas City!

I have wonderful memories of listening to games on the radio while working at the ABC affiliate in Peoria, IL. We'd grill & listen between shows on summer weekends.

What's your favorite part of the season?

We've leaned on a lot of comfort food during this extended winter season! What's your go-to on a day like today? Also, where are you all seeing the best prices for groceries? (This was last night's dinner: Pot Roast with carrots & potatoes - and catsup, of course with bread and butter.)
