This is what leaving the EU means - being so scared that Trump might make (already terrible) trade deals we’ve got with the US even worse that we dare not criticise him. In today’s world you are either part of a large block of countries or you do what those blocks tell you.

Musk, Reform and the right like to bang-on about 'freedom of speech' being eroded in the UK. However, the reality is that according to the global press freedom index the UK sits at 20th 'most freedom' while their poster child US is way below us at 57th rsf.org/en/index

Good morning.

A regular reminder: a tiny few hoard staggering wealth and own much of the media, while millions struggle to survive.

That’s not an accident. It’s a choice made by those in power.

Tax wealth. Fund public services. Build an economy for everyone - not the 1%.

What would the Green Party do at the Budget?

💡 Cut energy bills by ending profiteering
🚰 Cut water bills by bringing water into public hands
🏠 Give councils the power to control rents
🚸 Lift the two-child benefit cap and extend free school meals to all

Cut Bills. Tax Billionaires.

As a parent of autistic children this sort of ignorance and petty vindictiveness makes me furious.

Reform are all about targeting the most vulnerable in society. I’m not targeted by their racism, but my family is targeted by their ableism. And they will find a way to target you too.

When asylum is not only my illegal, but internationally required not to be.

Mahmood is the shadow of cruelty in our politics. Reform could cease to exist and she'd still be pushing for this.
