it's movie 2 of our rings trilogy on @eyeoftheduckpod.com this week and man do i miss this era of digital effects. it seems so long ago! vfx artists were given the time and resources to actually produce miracles like gollum and they didnt even need to boil the ocean with AI to do it
something that keeps me hopeful is watching my toddler discover art. he loves making things. by the time he comes of age, ppl will have grown so sick of low-effort ai generated slop and fascistic advertising propaganda that the arts will be flourishing again. his generation is going to make it

it’s honestly insane how accurately tim and eric predicted the ai era with this sketch. a braindead corporate guy clocking in to generate completely pointless slop and the ai is so bad it ends up glitching out and destroying itself. also it inevitably just becomes porn. extremely prophetic

seeing a lot of posts about how funny it is that this random scene in pluribus is so gorgeous and colorful. just wanna say there's no reason tv (or film) cant look like this all the time. in fact i think this used to be the standard and this scene is only surprising bc the bar has gotten so low

something ppl who arent video editors probably dont know about is how projects in adobe premiere can become haunted. something will happen where everything just starts acting insane and there's no way of fixing it. youll get notes back on a video and have to be like, "cant do it. project's haunted."
