Boris Johnson, Nigel Farage and Jacob Rees-Mogg conspired with a foreign fascist to overthrow the elected British PM, Theresa May. It’s right there in the #Epsteinfiles
This couldn’t be clearer. Bannon’s texts to Epstein in mid July 2018 - “overthrowing May right now” and in “London with Boris” as well as his appearance on LBC with Nigel Farage are prettying damning evidence of a cross party plot with foreign backing

This is really good. I think I’d just say that 60 odd year olds typically don’t change much.
Wrongs and rights: the real Keir Starmer

It’s wrong to say Keir Starmer isn’t interested in policy.

Contrary to so much supposedly informed political commentary, he’s a revolutionary at heart who wants to embed for at least a generation social democratic government, for the betterment of all. /1.

McSweeney going makes no difference to the quoted point below.

Starmer has lost the confidence of the House of Commons on a matter of national security.

It is difficult to see any PM surviving that easily.

And now there's the Mandeson document disclosure exercise over which he has no control.
Political drama aside, when a Prime Minister cannot carry the House of Commons on whether government can be trusted on national security, PM’s authority is over.

Do not underestimate significance of MPs insisting on a parliamentary committee, and not government, to decide on Mandelson disclosures.

Right, but just to clarify, you did not appoint Peter Mandelson, because you were not Prime Minister.
NEW: PM’s Chief of Staff Morgan McSweeney resigns

“After careful reflection, I have decided to resign from the government. The decision to appoint Peter Mandelson was wrong. He has damaged our party, our country and trust in politics itself.”

This skeet aging well. I also think this is still the case.
Yeah so this is bring down the government territory if there’s more to come (you woudn’t bet against it) so I think we’ll seem some weird stuff over the next few days.

itcouldbesaid.substack.com/p/it-could-b... This was meant to be about Labour's alternatives to Starmer but I just wrote & wrote about what a moral disgrace he is that I realised that was the column. Starmer is a bad man doing bad things for bad reasons. Quitting now is the only way to prove me wrong

New on FT website:

Downing Street has refused to say whether Sir Keir Starmer knew Palantir was a client of Peter Mandelson’s lobbying firm when they both visited the company in Washington last February — ahead of it winning a £240mn UK government contract.

Is this pitch-rolling?
Labour MPs & party insiders tell me they’ve never seen Keir Starmer so angry as over Mandelson’s lies about Epstein links.

But those who know him well say that anger has now turned inwards. That Starmer is, above all else, a man of public service, and will be grappling with his conscious this w/e.

Also, UK government contractor.

Whoever replaces Starmer, nixing these contracts should be one of the first items of business.

Enormous, epoch defining national security risk.

look, who could have possibly known that Peter Mandelson would misrepresent his relationship with a shady billionaire, apart from it being the thing he resigned over the last two times?

Since Brexit, the UK engages with economic juggernauts such as the US and China from a position of weakness, not strength.

It is time to accept that leaving the EU has made us weaker, diplomatically and economically.

Just to add that this another one of those golden eggs, which present themselves with increased frequency, that can be used to articulate a proper rebuttal to the entire Brexit project.

Mandelson was on Laura kuensberg the other week and she asked him why he stayed friends with Epstein after he’d been to prison for being a paedo and he gave some excuse and then they just carried on talking about other news stories for the rest of the interview.

MI5 really didn’t already know this?
Extraordinary: Mandelson told Epstein that JP Morgan should "threaten" then cabinet colleague and chancellor Alistair Darling over tax on bankers' bonuses. In plain language: "Minister conspired with US bank against own government".

Why is it acceptable for the UK to have ongoing business with Thiel (Chairman of Palantir)? It’s batshit.
"the scrutiny around Mr. Epstein instead revealed that an investment firm co-founded by Mr. Thiel accepted $40 million from Mr. Epstein and that Mr. Epstein and Mr. Thiel corresponded for at least five years before Mr. Epstein’s death."

If Wes wanted to burnish his credentials with progressives, nixing the NHS projects with Palantir would be a quick win. I shan’t hold my breath.
It’s time to deprecate Palantir’s contract with the NHS. Maximum disconnect.
