In 1977, Qld premier Joh Bjelke-Petersen abolished the right to hold street protests. Tens of 1000s of people took to the streets, over 2,000 were arrested, & the anti-protest laws were rendered impossible to enforce.

The NSW government tried to ban greyhound racing, but backed down. Now New Zealand have made the decision.
