I never got into X men comics before now, but I watched the animated series as a kid, and Gambit was ALWAYS my favourite. Still is. @gailsimone.bsky.social the way you write him is the reason he was my hero and why I am so glad I picked this run to be my first foray into the X Men comic world.

@scalzi.com I just finished Starter Villain and thank you so much for this book. I genuinely don't think a book has made me laugh out loud so much since the last time I read The Princess Bride.
I am torn between wanting more of every one of those characters & thinking it is perfect exactly as is.

My teen son just came running back to give me a big hug for no reason other than he wanted to.
He wasn't aware that my back is killing me and totally killing my memtal state and that simple hug turned the whole evening around for me.
I cherish those moments.
