The world has changed, so I need a new intro.

I'm a 🇨🇦 digital artist whose business effectively died in Jan 2025.

I'm feral, posting things that interest or intrigue me.

I 💖 science, history, and nature.

If you're looking for coherence or consistency, they're near each other in a dictionary.
I've lived alone for ~40 years, all told, and with my partner for the last 3.5 years.

Today I did errands alone due to [reasons] and, holy cow, did that ever feel weird and anxiety-inducing!

I guess this means I'm officially institutionalized.

And I'm quite alright with that, TBH.

First time out in a few months driving the Smart car.

I got to wave at another Smart going in the opposite direction, and the driver smiled and WOVE BACK!!

This gives me equal feelings of anxiety and zen.

B'bye East Wing, hello Tacky Ballroom.

The abject failure of the US Houses of Congress is a crime.

A Capitol crime, if you will.

Genuinely curious:

Is there any reason TFG would choose to reopen the government?

He currently has complete control, free of pesky opposition.

He can choose to pay his sycophants via fiat while simultaneously punishing everyone else.

What would reopening it give him that he doesn't already have?

Hmmmm......

Fighter jets (Русский or otherwise) don't have room to carry a payload.

So, by process of elimination (*snerk*), the only place all that 💩💩💩 can be coming from is the pilot.

Yeah, TBH, that tracks perfectly.

He is (was?) totally full of 💩💩💩.

"Ignore it, it's just a distraction!"

No.

It isn't.

It's intended to minimize what's happening.

And it's working.

Spectacularly.

Every day, I see people smugly spread it.

If everything is a distraction, nothing is a distraction.

It's not a distraction, it's war.

Stop helping them win it.

This seems relevant lately.

Today's 🤦‍♀️: Artist angry that someone pirated their work.

*checks portfolio & shop*

Full of things from pop culture.

Artist is mad that someone stole stuff that's based on others' IP.

"How dare they steal what I stole!"

And no, using others' IP to make $$ is NOT "fair use".

Every. Damn. Day.

Y'know, there's one thing that EVERY mass shooting has in common.

Removing that one thing would make ALL mass shootings impossible.

The one thing?

Guns.

Random thought: What if the GOP aren't panicking over the midterms? What if they know TFG is dying and they're scurrying to get stuff in place before he pops and they lose his cult of personality?

We set up a camera to catch the little stinker who periodically gasses us in the night.

Say cheese!

Who in High Holy Hell thinks, "I know, let's open a bank branch with NO TELLERS!" and then gets enough people to agree with this "good idea" to actually make it reality?

Twice!

🤪🤦‍♂️

How ironic; Google's Enhanced Safe Browsing setting considers its own Remote Desktop app unsafe.

Cleaning out a drawer of my Mom's desk and find this.

My Mom isn't, and never has been, Catholic.

Oh, how I wish I could ask her the story behind it!

The US isn't so much becoming a dictatorship as it's becoming a theocracy.

A theocracy like the kind that spawned the Spanish Inquisition and Al Qaeda.

A country of patriots and heretics, with the full weight of the government backing the patriots, moving toward one singular goal.

The goal? ⤵️

I've noticed a new trend in ads for games you can play for cash.

Not too long ago the message was that you could earn a little extra to buy yourself a treat.

Now you can earn enough to buy food when you're homeless, destitute, old and/or pregnant.

Play games just to survive.

Darkly dystopian AF.

"Only Congress can declare war!"

The last time that happened was June 5, 1942.

Are you saying the US hasn't been in a war since then?

The US is now at war.

Now what?
June 18, 2025 at 3:40 PM
"Now that millions have marched in a nationwide protest will other countries stop telling us to do something?"

No.

Of course not.

Thinking performative activism is sufficient is the reason we're here in the first place.

The march was good, but 5 months late and two days before war.

What's next?

We've had a 💩y week, so I was going to order us some fancy fried chicken as a treat.

The closer location, with the 9.9 rating, doesn't have the chicken sandwich.

The further location, with the 7.4 rating, does have the chicken sandwich.

I'm feeling particularly ineffectual.

We're having pasta. 🍝
