Slower releases mean shit gets localised, I don't rush the games I have, and I have actual long term motivation to live.
Earlier this year I had the chance to sit down for a real deep dive with Falcom President Toshihiro Kondo on the future of the company, and he outright said part of the reason they're slowing down with game releases is them trying to make it easier for localization.

When planning in my head, its very much 'ooo, this scene would look cool in there somewhere!' When I actually start writing, I like to do it from beginning to end in chronological order. Or roughly the order the main character would see things in - the fic I'm writing involves a lot of time travel!
