I'll be making his garlic knots as a brunch-y snack before we get the big meal baking / roasting.

We have been using Kenji's turkey advice for a few years. He just posted a NYT Cooking video arguing against using a roasting pan for the turkey.

Ben Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie had an indie supergroup "the Postal Service." I assume that's what Jamelle meant.

I've only been to Nantucket a few times, but I have spent weeks and biked hundreds of miles on the Vineyard.

The history of Oak Bluffs as _the_ upscale African-American vacation destination is fascinating.

Like the boardwalk at Assembly on the other side of the river that was part of my bike commute for years.

That's awesome. My only complaint is that Oak Bluffs shouldn't be lumped into White Caribbean.

Try crossing it as a pedestrian or cyclist.

It's so much better than a few years ago when the position and number of lanes approaching each light were not aligned with the lanes exciting the intersection.

MassDOT also has a plan for more significant improvements.

No spoilers? I would hope you would have discussed the evolution of sports coupes these past five decades.

We are spending a few days wandering around the New York City Hellscape.

That claim was actually the text of the Walmart press release. I think they get away with it because this year's turkey is a Butterball brand, but last year's was some other brand.

Shouldn't that word be spelled "magachurches?"

Vladdy delivered that double-play. A thing of beauty.

I hated the shingles jabs, but I have seen friends go through actually having shingles, and that would be way worse.

The dooming on this site is getting out of control. Every time you post anything about politics some rando condescendingly wonders how you can't possibly know that elections are over and all hope is lost. If you've completely lost hope, I'm sorry, but shut the fuck up, OK? You're not helping.

The Supreme Court is probably about to let Louisiana gerrymander to a map that they specifically designed keep Johnson in office. We can hope he ends up even more irrelevant than Hastert, Boehner, Ryan, and McCarthy, but he ain't finished yet.

We'll be biking to Lexington Center soon. I bet that the Minuteman Trail will essentially be a No Kings parade before and after the event.

Congrats to the class of '77. I was a hopeless Red Sox fan starting with their playoff run in '75, and remember the Blue Jays and Mariners showing up in the league together. Now "the new kids" will battle for a spot in the World Series.
