Also, may I say that I don’t agree with people saying ICE and CBP need “more training.” They’re doing exactly what this administration has trained them to—impose a reign of fear in blue cities. They don’t need more training. They need to be ripped up root and branch.

At the very least we are called to witness injustice in the world so that people know the truth and so that corrections (and accountability) can be forthcoming. His name was Alex Pretti, and he only the most recent victim of ICE. Not the first. And not the last unless we act.
Alex Pretti "used to tell people off when they made sexist comments to female physicians. He bought me coffee when I had a really bad day as an intern...I laughed alongside him daily. He made a point to teach medical residents without judgement, but with a smile on his face and a joke."
