not an original thought but bears repeating: half of writing is just being allowed time to sit on your ass uninterrupted and think about things really hard until you puzzle them out, which doesn't look or feel like work at all. but it is!

I started drafting an outline for my first graphic novel last summer, and I finished writing the first draft yesterday. I’m super excited to start editing this story. My younger self would be happy to know I’ve returned to my love of graphic storytelling.

This is your evergreen reminder that you can support your writer friends (even if you're not into the kind of books they write) by asking your local public library to purchase their books. I can't speak for all writers, but I love libraries & love having my books in them!
