Honest question...do street corner preachers ever actually convert anyone?

10 days ago I listened to the A Short Stay In Hell audiobook. Since then I've listened to it twice more and read the e-book twice.

I can't get this story out of my head. The vision of Hell is the most unique I've ever seen. It's sedate and horrifying at the same time.

Thanks, Zoroastrianism. 👍

I've always thought that Melania looked like a human/Grey hybrid. I wonder if this UFO shaped hat is a sneaky confirmation that she actually is.

Yesterday I updated to iOS 26. This morning my StandBy mode alarm had the Snooze button on the other side. I'm sure Apple did this for a reason, but I wonder how many people will reflexively tap the button on the right when they mean to hit snooze, and then be late for work.

I finally got around to getting myself a metal Folgers coffee can. Now I can rest peacefully. Also, the incongruity of it sitting next to a K-cup machine is not lost on me.

I've never heard the term "vibe coding" before. So, I looked it up. Turns out, for me, it's just regular coding.

In the comments of this post are the responses of every Democratic Governor to the murder of Charlie Kirk. Feel free to provide this to anyone who says Democrats haven't responded with outrage or compassion.

Honest question. Have you ever had your mind changed by something you read from a stranger on social media? I don't mean an influencer you like, but someone you've never heard of before.

Recently I've seen a large increase in the number of times people cross the street unsafely. This morning someone crossed about 100 feet from the crosswalk, stopping cars in the process. People are gonna end up dead.

Thanks, Freedom To Walk Act.

Funny thing about today’s workout, I’ve done plenty of tougher sessions, but for some reason I was dripping like never before. And no, the gym wasn’t even hot. Ever have one of those days where your body just surprises you?

My gym, BFT (Body Fit Training), is offering a chance to win tickets to The Magic Castle for members who post about it on social media. But they have no presence on Bluesky. In fact nobody has ever mentioned BFT here. I should get two chances to win for being the first. :) #bft_huntingtonbeach

You may have never heard of the New Apostolic Reformation or its Seven Mountains Mandate — but their Christian Supremacy objectives are taking shape in front of you. They are the stated enemy of both secular democracy and traditional Christianity, and they are taking power. Today on my Substack:
Don't look now, but your church might be legitimately evil.
While you've been paying attention to other things, the New Apostolic Reformation has been rolling its tank tracks over the skulls of both secular democracy and traditional Christianity.

I had an almost argument with someone tonight about gender/sex. They were saying that people who are confused need to figure it out because it's a hassle for others when they're confused. I was saying that most of the time the very question about a person's gender/sex is irrelevant.

This is a perfect example of why I don't trust anything that requires me to install software. It's just too easy for that software to use my device to do something I would never agree to.

It pays to be skeptical.
